1. Kampala – Fort Portal – Kasese Route

This is the most popular and direct route to Rwenzori.

• Travel Time: 6–7 hours by road
  The journey takes you west from Kampala through Mityana, Mubende, and Kyenjojo, before arriving in Fort Portal, the tourism capital of western Uganda. From Fort Portal, it’s about 75 km to Kasese, the main town near the Rwenzori Mountains National Park.

2. Kampala – Mbarara – Kasese Route
